Amtech Lighting has a comprehensive safety program that is implemented on national, regional and local levels. Amtech Lighting Services employees are trained, equipped, and supervised to ensure that they can perform their work in an efficient and safe manner. Our goals are to prevent accidents that may result in injury to employees, customers, and the general public, and to perform our work in a manner that protects customer property.
Extensive employee training is a priority at Amtech Lighting. A new employee gains knowledge and experience through a combination of classroom training and on-the-job partnering with an experienced, long-term Amtech Lighting Services technician. In some cases, employees are required to pass a licensing exam demonstrating advanced electrical knowledge.
In addition, an Internal Certification Program was created to ensure that new employees pass a basic safety and technical training class before reporting to their first assignment. Our Internal Certification Program emphasizes technical excellence, personal responsibility for accident prevention, and the importance of maintaining awareness of safe work practices at all times. Regular meetings are held by the Operations manager, the Branch Manager, and the Safety Director to discuss policies and procedures, customer service levels, and updates on technical issues and equipment. Training is documented and periodically reviewed to ensure effectiveness. In addition, field audits are performed to ensure ongoing compliance with Amtech Lighting safety requirements.
